The mission of Northern Home for Children is to foster the development of self confidence, resiliency and other life skills in at-risk children, youth and their families, primarily through the provision of behavioral health, child welfare, and preventive services.

Thanks to your hard work and dedication, Northern Home for Children will move forward in 2012 as a nationally accredited agency. The badge of COA on all materials, brochures and our website will remind all of our commitment to children, youth and their families.
As well, NHC s Generations programs are seen as models for implementing positive change in the lives of teenage mothers and their children. This will translate into increased capacity for both teenage mothers that need permanent housing and greater access to those in need of group home services. As a result, you will begin to see dramatic changes on the campus in the very near future as Merrick Hall begins its transformation to house these young women and their children.
I encourage you to continue to implement the mission and vision of NHC and I applaud all of you for your tireless efforts.
